Bio: Glodrick is a greedy, power-mad, and ruthless king who rules over the dwarven kingdom of Umbaren, located under Mt. Nothreign. He was born to King Thruan the Fifth, a noble warrior king who cared for his son during a time of relative peace. As a child, Glodrick was given many glamorous gifts by his father during his travels to other kingdoms while he was taught combat and battle strategy should he be involved in a war. Thruan was so proud and loving to his son, that he did not see that he sowed the seeds of a terrible and greedy heir to his throne. After his father passed, Glodrick quickly succeeded the throne and began his reign over his kingdom. To some who travel into his domain he comes off as a kindly and good-natured king who will give warm welcomes befitting war heroes. However, this persona is discarded should he discover the visitor possesses something of great value or is allied with a nation he is not fond of. Then at the right moment, he reveals his true colors, sending his men to take anything of value or torture the person for information. He plots to subjugate all of Ranell if not the entire world. Though as his army is only a good ten thousand strong dwarves, he is not foolish and attempts to choose his battles carefully. He is a brilliant tactician who is slowly but surely attempting to conquer other dwarf kingdoms close to his own to expand the Umbaren Empire. Though sometimes his pride and greed get in the way. He is also a brilliant general able to inspire courage and loyalty in his faithful soldiers and fear in his opponents and cowardly recruits. As previously said, he is also rather greedy. Some say his greed is beyond that of a normal dwarf and even rivals that of a great dragon. He has been known to send small bands of his army out to the surface to pillage caravans of treasure and bring the gold back to their king, who will give the spoils not of his liking to his men. He gave shelter to Cyril and Mikhaela’s party but upon discovering they were in possession of a dragon’s blood ruby, he sought to take it for himself so that he could be immortal and his troops could be armed by the shards of the gem. They narrowly escaped him but Glodrick was far too stubborn to give up. He left his kingdom under the rule of his best general and began to pursue the adventuring party with his best men. He follows them now to take the crystal and achieve his dreams of conquest. There are many soldiers and others under his command in extensions of Umbaren in other parts of Asnorit.
