Races of Asnorit Pt. 6: Fairies

Fairies-Fairies are miniature humanoid beings with insect-like wings. They possess the greatest amount of magical ability in their bodies as they don’t require a channeling tool to use magic.Where they live varies from forests, mixed cities, and even underground caverns. They practice illusion, shape shifting, and enchantment magic. Fairies are known for being the sexiest race, as well as the most mischievous, in Asnorit. As children, fairies practice their illusion and shape shifting spells to trick travelers in their domains. When hitting puberty, their sex drives go wild and they almost become sex addicts. They use their shape shifting spells to become the man or woman of a person’s dreams. The aid of enchantment spells makes sure they get whatever and whomever they want. Usually, their sex drives reduce a bit when reaching adulthood. There are also the bizarre cousins of fairies who are often referred to as the Fair Folk:
Satyrs/Fauns- Perhaps among the most peculiar of Fairy cousins, the Satyrs and Fauns are surprisingly more mischievous than their miniature winged cousins. Both Satyrs and Fauns possess the legs of a goat and the upper torso of a human with horns on their heads with Satyrs possessing larger horns and more goat like features to their face. They enjoy playing pranks upon wanders though their pranks tend to be more cruel often using magic to alter travelers in some way. Satyrs and Fauns are almost the literal definition of party animals, enjoying good festivities as long as it include ale, music, and sex. Much like Fairies, they dabble in illusion and enchantment magic but they are masters of sound magic, particularly spells focused around music. They often lull travelers into their dance with some inviting notes and make them dance until they collapse from exhaustion. For residence, they mostly stick to forests, elvish cities, and sometimes mixed cities.
Brownies- A unique member of fairy kin in comparison to their more playful and rowdy cousins, Brownies are often mistaken for being distant cousins of halflings. They are small people generally only reaching two feet in height with brown hair, brown tinted skin, and pointed ears. They are mostly well-mannered, peaceful, and honest. They are astonishingly tidy and skilled at crafts. They will sometimes take up residence in the homes of people they like and offer they skills as housekeepers. They possess some skill at enchantment magic and little creation magic, enchanting items to assist them in their cleaning.
Dryads- These forest nymphs are fair folk who have bonded with nature, becoming one with trees and plants. They generally possess a likeness to humans and elves with plant-like features like green skin and hair like vines or roots. While peaceful, they are also playful and spend time with animals in their forest homes. they communicate with animals and taught their ability to speak to animals to people who were willing to listen.
Centaurs-These fair folk are somewhat similar to Satyrs where they possess the body of a horse and the upper body of a human where the neck and head of a horse would be. As playful as most other fair folk they enjoy a gallop through the forest but they are also rather rowdy, aggressive, and territorial. Should one enter into a centaur’s territory without permission, they will not receive a warm welcome. Some centaurs are also skilled warriors and archers.
Fae Nobles- These fair folk are most times viewed as the link or root of all the vastly, physically different cousins of the race. Fair Folk or ‘Fae’ Nobles are sometimes referred to as true fairies, as they are believed to have been the first of the fair folk. They generally possess a elvish size and physique with pointed ears while also possessing characteristics of their cousins like large insectoid wings, horns or antlers on their foreheads, and hoof-like fingernails. They possess immense magical powers and some of the most complicated spells require little effort for the elders. They are generally a very peaceful and regal race unlike most of their cousins and tend to keep to themselves.
